- To raise the pH when it is below 7.4 (ideal range 7.4 to 7.6).
- To increase total alkalinity when it is below 100 ppm (ideal range 100 to 120 ppm)
- FOR PH: You will need to apply 150 grams of Alkant for every 10,000 liters of water. Alkant (grams) = 150 x (pool liters) ÷ 10,000)
- It is applied by dissolving the product in a bucket of water and distributing it evenly around the entire pool and helping it to dissolve in the water with a maintenance handle or by applying a good portion to the return nozzles (with the filter on).
- Check the pH again after 2 hours and if it is still low, repeat the procedure again. After a few applications you will have a better idea of the correct amount to use to keep the pH in its ideal range.
- FOR TOTAL ALKALINITY (TA): You will need to apply 110 grams of Alkant for every 10,000 liters of water for every 10 ppm you want to increase. To adjust the TA we suggest you review the complete guide. Alkant (grams) = 110 x (liters of pool) ÷ 10,000) x (ppm to increase ÷10).
